Edo State Council Committee Of The NMCN Takes A Stand Against Training #QuacksInNursing And Illegal Nursing Institutions
RE: TRAINING OF QUACKS/ILLEGAL NURSING INSTITUTIONS IN EDO STATE
At the meeting of the Edo state Nursing Council Committee held on 19th October, 2018, a review was made of the training of quacks and the existence of illegal institutions purportedly training Nurses at whatever level.
It was noted that Registered Nurses/Midwives etc are the ones used by these illegal institutions for whatever amount of money to achieve their nefarious acts.
The Committee frown seriously at this and therefore directed me to request that you kindly let ALL staff within your control know the implication of this Professional Misconduct.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria has inaugurated the TRIBUNAL to handle cases involving any Nurse found culpable in Nigeria for professional misconduct and particularly this illegal training centres.
By this letter, kindly advice all Nurses with you not to give lecture or any form of assistance to such illegal institutions to thrive.
The Edo State Council Committee shall not hesitate to make report to the Council, if after this letter any Nurse is reported to still continue in so doing.
