IELTS Score for Nurses in UK: Nurses who want to practice in UK must first be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council before they can be employed and allowed to use the title Registered Nurse which is a protected name in the entire United Kingdom.
From nurses or midwives from outside the EU/EEA, they must complete and pass the IELTS test before sending their applications to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) unless they are already from English speaking countries or had their initial nursing education in English language recently.
The NMC will accept the Academic IELTS test and to apply to become a nurse in the UK, applicants must achieve a 7.0 IELTS score in reading, writing, listening and speaking elements, with a 7.0 score overall. It is ok to club your ielts score if you meet the clubbing requirements.
