NPC, FMOH Partner on Population Survey, Nigerians’ Health Status
The National Population Commission (NPC) and Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) have commenced a nationwide survey on demographic and health status of Nigerians.
It is scheduled to commence across the country between August and mid December 2018.
Federal Commissioner of NPC in Northeast, Hassan Bashir, said the Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) is a five-year survey initiated by USAID and supported by the other international donors.
It is to assist countries to carry out household trial survey in monitoring change in population, health and nutrition.
