Occupational English Test (OET) to Open Exam Centre in Nigeria

Steming from a rumor which spread across different social media platforms yesterday, Nursesarena.com made an enquiry to OET parent body in Australia on whether the rumor was true to which the company confirmed as true. It however said that no date has been fixed yet as arrangement is still ongoing.
Reacting to the news, Mr Idowu Olabode (Peculiar) founder of Nursesarena.com said: “The proposed entrance of OET into the Nigerian market is a welcome development. Although a bit expensive than IELTS, OET provides better assessment of healthworkers’ knowledge and use of English language as it is tailored towards their profession. I hope all those who have been frustrated by IELTS take advantage of this”.
Occupational English Test cost approximately #160,000 and Lagos is expected to be the only available centre considering it the economic powerhouse of Nigeria. Bellaz Education Services in Surulere is rumored to be the centre been considered for this. Before now Nigerian nurses and other health workers in Africa have to travel to South Africa, Egypt or UK to sit for the exam
OET is accepted for immigration and registration with board of Nursing in Australia, Ireland, UK and Singapore
