Research Fellow (Nursing and Midwifery) At Edith Cowan University
Overview
This role provides an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to develop their own program of clinical research and contribute to the research agenda at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth and the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Edith Cowan University. The Research Fellow will be physically based at both sites and with a division of time between locations each week.
The Centre for Nursing Research is a well-established hospital based research centre with a long history of association with ECU. The Centre currently supports 3 researchers from ECU. The School of Nursing and Midwifery at ECU has a strong research program and in the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) 2015, the School of Nursing and Midwifery was ranked as “5” for the second consecutive round indicating research activity “of outstanding performance well above world standard”.
The Research Fellow will work in collaboration with clinical staff at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and academics at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, ECU to initiate research projects, secure competitive research grants, publish in scientific journals, and present at relevant conferences. In addition, the Research Fellow will be expected to supervise postgraduate and undergraduate students enrolled at ECU, and contribute to the culture of research at both the hospital and the university.
The Research Fellow will work with a team of enthusiastic, supportive researchers and academics to generate research ideas, access funding, and conduct research.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time, 3 year fixed-term position attracts remuneration of $97,579 to $115,578 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
