University Of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Holds Its 2018 Matriculation Ceremony
The University of benin teaching hospitals school of Nursing yesterday held its matriculation ceremony for the 85th and 86th intakes of groups of student nurses who were admitted in october 2017/March 2018, for three year basic and 18 months post registered programs respectively with pomp and pageantry.
Speaking at the ceremony, the deputy director, Nursing education and principal of the school Miss Maureen Chukwurah explained that the occassion marked the 26th Matriculatin ceremony and the 12th capping ceremony in the series of the 46 years of existence of the school.
Highlights of the ceremony was the symbolic signing of the schools register by two representatives of the students, and the capping of the 67 matriculating students.
Explaining the significance of the capping of nurses, the principal noted that it teaches the values that are unique in our professional dress code.
The Matriculation oath was administered on the new students by the Barrister. Two Students of the school, Miss Okere Adaeze and Idehen Merit who were the best students in PTS block award given by the President of the NANSNM UBTH CHAPTER
