Webinar Free 2018: Telling the Implementation Story: WHO tools to help Document Family Planning
Please join us on January 25th, 2018 from 15:00 – 16:00 (Geneva time) / 09:00 -10:00 (Washington time) for a webinar discussion titled: Telling the Implementation Story: WHO Tools to help Document. This first installment of the series will focus on the WHO guide to Identifying and Documenting Best Practices in Family Planning Programmes.
This webinar series was conceptualized by the Implementing Best Practices Initiative (IBP) and the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (PMNCH) in response to a growing need from their respective member organizations on how to better document and tell the “implementation story”. WHO recently published two unique tools that will be featured as part of this series. The first was developed by WHO/AFRO with input from IBP and is intended to be an easy to use guide to document practices that are being implemented in field settings in a simple, easy to interpret format. There may be programmatic evidence based interventions or supporting practices that help strengthen the implementation of more complex interventions. The second was developed by WHO/RHR in partnership with the Alliance for Health Systems Research (AHSR) and is intended for program managers to document implementation using a research based methodology. Both documents are currently being used by various partners in a range of field settings.
