Radiographers Want to Head Own Units in Public Hospitals
The Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN) has called on the federal government to recognize the autonomy of radiography and allow radiographers to head their units in government hospitals and institutions.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chairman of the Association of Radiographers, Ngwu Emmanuel, made the call yesterday during the celebration of the annual World Radiography Day in Abuja.
He called for increase funding for radiography and imaging facilities in the country to ensure that more Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines, CT Scan, and radiotherapy machines were purchased and maintained.
Registrar of the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) Dr Mark Okeji called for more funding for radiography practice in the country.
